This site has a number of "how to" articles which can serve as a step by step guide for using the analytical review procedures and audit software provided.
The system runs on a web server (Web) and the name derives from the acronym CAAT - computer assisted audit tool, hence "Web CAAT". The default configuration runs on a dedicated desk top, lap top or external drive and access is restricted to the installed machine only. However, the system can be configured to share data, e.g. on an intranet and supports collaboration. If installed on an intranet (or internet) Web CAAT can be accessed using tablets or smart phones. The system leverages the very latest of open source technology and is capable of handling large data volumes (e.g. 180 million records) and running quickly, even on a PC.
Registration for this site is free, quick and easy and enables viewing all of the articles and documents.
